...and so it is...
Crazy times. Incredible learning. Unprecedented excitement. Boundless inspiration. Emotions unlimited.
And so it is…
11th July – intense transition with Caro, figuring out way too late that my flight in Basel leaves too early for trains from Berne on the 14th
12th July – planning in Lucern, meeting with Vaibhav and Petr

13th July – more planning, vision, then trip to Basel to catch early flight next day, being hosted by Stefan (thanks!!!)
14th July – to London, my wonderful city, beloved friends: Natalia, Dama, Jurgis, Tomasz, Scott, Joana, Riccardo, my parents
15th July – graduation! BSc Philosophy and Economics, my parents back on their flight, incredible encounters (life changing maybe – more on that later, but I did mention emotions above)

16th July – breakfast at Rosebery with Joana and Riccardo, Hyde Park in the sun “better when we’re together” by Jack Johnson, REM concert in Hyde Park picnic style
17th July – straight on the flight back to Basel- who needs sleep anyway? More planning in the office in Berne and inauguration dinner of our flat (pasta with spinach sauce) with MC team and Sami
18th July – final planning at Rob’s, walking home in the beautifully warm pouring summer rain
19th July – to do list unlimited in the office, trying to write an email in html (Zuzka you are an angel!)
20th July – trip to Lugano, meeting with BSI and Deerive, Stefano (LCP Lugano) taking me around on his motorbike! It was great!!!
21st July – Zürich: meeting with Coutts Bank von Ernst
22nd July – madness in the office (so nothing new in that respect) and meeting about Finance Learning Network with St.Gallen EB in St.Gallen, afterwards lovely glass of wine in our flat with Zuzka and Nadja
23rd July – OGX task force with Jude and Rollin from Abundant Sun, I am designated babysitter for Jude’s and Rollin’s kids (Micco, 8, Amber and Jasmine, cutest twins aged 3-and-a-half), painting in the kitchen, building caves from blankets and ironing boards, homemade brownies decorated with M&Ms and various cereals, in the evening tasty Indian food with Jude, Rollin and the kids

24th July – kids again, hide-and-seek (gladly I fit under all the beds in our flat! And the various cupboards!!), good thing no one is currently in the flat below us…with kids running and jumping, then EB Meeting with EB Zürich… cool team, great motivation
25th July – Zürich: meeting with KPMG and Steve and Florence from Lausanne, Agenda: DO-IT !
26th July – setting up more meetings, finished Rob’s and my office! Caro’s desk is now mine.
27th July – Rob back from holidays, coaching meeting with him – planning stuff
28th July – today – meeting with Biogen Idec (thanks again, Scott!) in Zug and Alstom (2 hour meeting, really cool!) in Baden
And so it is… like you said it would be… Life goes easy on me, most of the time (beautiful lines from The Blower’s Daughter by Damien Rice, on my headphones right now)
Agenda until IC: similar to the above
on the job
slowly but steadily we are settling in, doing what MCs around the world are doing, planning, chatting, laughing, planning, haggling to avoid tasks we do not necessarily want to do... laughing some more, and it seems, always cooking or preparing to eat.

AIESEC in Switzerland MC 2005-2006
yesterday we divided up our essentials... i could not wish for a more exciting job!!! there is a flipchart with lots and lots of post-its hanging next to me, each post-it with one topic... some big some small, some exciting, some not so breath taking (who likes to order office supplies?) and over the next two weeks this assortment of topics and responsibilities will be the material from which we weave our yearplan...
the office...
... is nice now, old stains and dust washed away, furniture switched and swapped between rooms, the pigeons (now big babies) relocated. The ER corner still needs lots of work, and there are countless files to look at, countless thoughts in my head to be bundled, organised, and put into practice. At least I feel at home here now. The new carpet in the comfy room is bright pink and red and blue and sand colour. And we can walk barefoot now, without dirt sticking to the soles of our feet.
